Welcome Rev. Jacqueline McMillen

  Rev. McMillen comes to us from Wadsworth, Ohio. Her most recent position was serving as Pastor of  St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Apple Creek, Ohio.

While at St Peter's UCC, which is surrounded by the Amish and Mennonite communities, Pastor McMillen helped the Congregation discern their mission. St Peter's UCC offered English Speaking Lessons to Spanish-speaking immigrants while also offering Spanish Language Classes for those who wanted to get to know their neighbors.  Working with other United Churches of Christ, St Peter's UCC was able to build a Habitat for Humanity House for a local Family, Participate in food programs in their community and in mission with an Akron Urban Church. The Church partnered with Ho Farms in Ghana to send supplies and school fees to primary and secondary students there. Rev. McMillen was also involved with Bible studies, Flight School, a weekly elementary-age after school program and Sunday Worship services at St Peter's UCC.  

Rev. McMillen will be at Grace Church on Sunday, February 5, 2012. She will be preaching a Trial Sermon.  

Immediately following the service there will be a Congregational meeting. The Purpose of the meeting will be to vote on Calling Rev. McMillen as Grace Church's part-time Minister.
